8 Days... New Letters from El Diablo- Letter 3

For the past few days I have posted letters from last year that a mission team intercepted from El Diablo to a demon named Lucifrito... Somehow, we started intercepting letters to a new demon named Demonito regarding our very own Mission Team! They are trying to attack us, and don't want our trip to succeed in just 8 days!!! Read along and pray for our mission team against these attacks, and anything else the devil can throw at us.

Dear Demonito-

I have not heard a recent report from your efforts, but wanted to discuss with you the worst case scenario of the entire team making it down into the Nuevo Laredo territory. If this occurs, we must make every effort to minimize their effectiveness. The problem here is the local natives they work with- the "Cosechadores"- as this is their backyard and their energy and passion has proven contagious in previous years- spreading to the Americans.

One useful strategy is to not prevent thoughts of a certain kind, but to twist them. For example, when crossing the border from Laredo, TX to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, the distance may be short, but the change in environment is immediate and drastic. Where the enemy wants them to see this change and feel a thankfulness for what they have back home- and even worse- realize that none of that stuff even matters- we must try to place the thought that happiness is in what they have back home, and if these people could just create a better city or get more stuff, they would be happy too. 

This helps them to not realize that in spite of the more modern look and expensive feel of their homeland, there are just as many people there the Enemy would like to see come to Him. Let them look down on their environment and look down on the people and this will take them further away from the Enemy's will of viewing each of these people as equals, created in the image of the Enemy, worthy of all He has for them, by the blood of the One who's name we shall never speak.

Also, keep them focused on the natural- the heat, the food, the accommodations- and not focused on the Enemy, who can potentially strengthen them and make them even more dangerous. Use the language barrier to create fear, as many of these pitiful "warriors" failed to learn more than a few words before coming down there. You and I both know that the language barrier doesn't mean nearly as much as we want them to believe, as the language of their creator is universal.
